Make your Holidays Enchanted

Ahhh, Yultide.

Not that New Mexico wasn’t already known for our red and green “Christmas,” but there really is something enchanted about this time of year, especially in Taos. The farolitos are lit, and the Christmas wreaths have been hung, and the mountains are dusted with snow (even if it’s man made snow.)

Taos Ski Valley has a fun full list of festivities this holiday season, so bundle up the family and check out some new Yultide traditions!

December 16: Christmas Tree Lighting

From 3:30 PM – 5 PM, the resort plaza will be bustling with hot drinks, cookies, a mariachi band, and at 4:30 PM the Christmas Tree is lighting up! There is no better way to end a day of skiing.

December 22: Santa and Elves Ski Free

Get into the holiday spirit! Come dressed head to tow in a Santa of Elf costume and ski for free!

December 22 – 23: Christmas Market

Just like they do in the Alps! Browse through artwork and handmade crafts from local artists and try delicious holiday eats and Gluhwein. Members of the Taos Community Chorus will preform in the Resort Plaza on Friday, December 22, and rumor has it that Santa Clause will be making a visit on Saturday. The market will be in the Resort Plaza from 3 PM – 6 PM both days.

December 31: New Year’s Eve Festivities

Ring in 2018 in style with our torchlight parade and fireworks display.  The night will kick off at 5:30 PM with a laser light show. Then watch skiers make their way down the mountain in the dark with flares. Don’t miss the spectacular firework display by Gemini Fireworks after the torchlight parade. The party continues afterwards in the Martini Tree bar!
