The Bavarian Restaurant

Bottom of Lift #4

Nestled at the base of stunning Kachina Peak above the European-style village of Taos Ski Valley, The Bavarian Lodge & Restaurant offers guests the comfort and charm of an authentic alpine ski lodge amid the majesty of New Mexico's storied Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

The gourmet menu features refined German dishes that are hearty but never heavy, a perfect way to enjoy a midday respite or replenish your strength after an active day on the ski slopes or the hiking trails.

Choose among such offerings as Sauerbraten, Wienerschnitzel, or Käsespätzle, accompanied by a selection from our fine wine list or one of our specially imported beers from Hofbräu Haus, Andechs Brewery or Weltenburg Brewery in Germany. For those who prefer a more American meal, we offer salads, sandwiches, and burgers.

Back by popular demand!  Tuesday evenings stop by for Fondue Night and experience some unique fondue cooking styles followed by a delectable dessert.  Fondue Night is perfect for any occasion.  Whether you're just getting together with friends or looking for a romantic evening in the mountains, this is an evening you will not soon forget.

And if you're looking for the ultimate ski vacation experience or a relaxing summertime retreat, we also have 4 uniquely decorated accommodations including 1 three-bedroom suite, which are available to rent throughout the ski season and during our peak summertime period. Enjoy the warm Bavarian hospitality with breakfast and ski in ski out luxury included. Packages including lunch and dinner are available.
