Our Mountain Provides: A Discussion on Food Sovereignty with Red Willow Tribal Members Sheryl Romero, Ilona Spruce, Cheryl Romero.

In a relaxed setting we will explore the sustainable practices that have historically been central to the Taos Pueblo’s identity. Our presenters will discuss the production and harvest of healthy and culturally relevant foods and the importance of defining one’s own food and agricultural systems. Our panel members reflect a range of perspectives from the Office of Tourism at Taos Pueblo to Red Willow Organic Farm, and how this sustainable ethos relates to the larger community. Expect an honest conversation about what it means to be “green” today, and how planting your own vegetable garden could be part of important global shift.

This event is free, but space is limited, your RSVP at anee.ward@skitaos.com is appreciated.
