Season Passes

Due to the November 13, 2020 NM Public Health Order which requires outdoor recreation facilities to close for 14 days, Taos Ski Valley will no longer start its winter season Nov 26th.  When Public Health Orders are lifted and allow ski resorts to open in Taos County, the resort will coordinate and mobilize its operations as quickly as possible, with a focus on ensuring best COVID-Safe Practices. Taos Ski Valley anticipated irregularities in its operations this season due to COVID-related closures, and has developed plans to be nimble and efficient in the face of uncertainty this year. We look forward to welcoming guests on the mountain soon, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and healthy at home right now.

As stated in our refund policy: if the resort closes for 14 or more days for COVID-19 reasons, passholders will receive a prorated refund, less $20 for each day skied, at the end of the season. 2020-21 season passes are fully refundable until opening day. Please send a written request to support@skitaos.com. However, we plan to open this winter, and stay open, so we hope you still come and enjoy the outdoors since they are not going anywhere.

F.A.Q.

What if I want to exchange or upgrade my pass?

Those who have already purchased a pass and would like a refund please email support@skitaos.com. If you would like to upgrade from a Midweek or Weekday Plus Pass please call 877.864.6602.

Will unused passes from 2019-20 be credited to the 2020-21 season?

No, but we are offering special pricing to our loyal 2019-20 season passholders.

When is the best time to buy a season pass?

We recommend that you purchase early for the greatest savings and the best perks. After the current pass sale ends, passes will not be available until the next cycle and prices will increase.

What’s the difference between a Mountain Collective Pass and Mountain Collective Reciprocity benefit?

The Mountain Collective Pass is a separate pass from any Taos season passes. The Mountain Collective Pass includes two days of skiing at 23 participating resorts, including Taos Ski Valley. After the two free days per resort, MC passholders receive 50% off lift tickets. To learn more about the pass, visit MountainCollective.com.

Taos season passes include the Mountain Collective Reciprocity Benefit which allows the passholder to purchase day tickets at MC Resorts for 50% off.

Do passholders still receive 3 free days at Copper Mountain and 3 free days at Arapahoe Basin?

No.

I do not see the 1st Responder or Military pass available for sale.  Are these passes available?

We are offering special pricing to 1st responders and military personnel.  If you qualify for either of these pass types, please contact the Season Pass office at seasonpass@skitaos.com and we will follow up with instructions on how to purchase.

Can I pick up my season pass before the start of the 2020-21 season?

In an effort to minimize contact, we will be mailing season passes to our passholders.  When purchasing online, please be sure to include your correct mailing address, sign the 2020-21 liability release, and upload an appropriate photo so that we can print and ship as quickly as possible.  If you are unable to purchase online or upload a photo, please contact the Season Pass Office at (575) 776-2291 ext. 2260 for assistance.

If I don’t use my pass, can I give it to someone else?

No, all passes are non-transferable.

How do Ikon passholders ski at Taos?

IKON passholders will need to make a reservation via the IKON reservation system, then can go direct to the lift at Taos Ski Valley.

How do Mountain Collective Passholders ski at taos?

We will pre-fulfill passholder's passes who select Taos with their 2 or 3  free days, depending on early purchase. Once you have used you 2 or 3 days, 50% off tickets will be available for purchase on a first come-first-serve basis, based on availability by calling 575-776-2291 ext. 2260. Passholders who did not select pre-fulfillment are able to redeem their two days at the Season Pass office by showing purchase confirmation after calling 575-776-2291 ext. 2260. For 50% off Reciprocity Partners: call 575-776-2291 Ext. 2260 to reserve tickets, based on availability until our online Mountain Collective store is open.

Can I purchase a pass over the phone?

Yes, season passes can be purchased over the phone.  If you choose to purchase over the phone, you will still need to forward a pass photo via email and sign the 2020-21 liability release electronically so that we can mail your season pass to you.  Please call 575.776.2291 ext. 2260 for assistance.
