Face Masks Required
As we reopen for summer operations, to be in accordance with the State of New Mexico Executive Order, face coverings are required during your visit to Taos Ski Valley. We are implementing all state health order guidelines and taking a cautious and phased approach to our summer activities.
Taos Ski Valley is committed to our community during the coronavirus pandemic. Although our ski resort is closed, we’re working every day to support the people and organizations of Northern New Mexico who are impacted, as our values compel us to do. We offer our unwavering support to the residents of Taos through financial resources, volunteerism, and collaborative leadership expertise. Together, Taos will endure this challenging time.
5.20.2020 Fund for Taos update
The Village of Taos Ski Valley community raised $114,000 for the Fund for Taos, which is the specialized coronavirus relief, recovery, and resiliency fund created by the Taos Community Foundation. The $114,000 came from Village residents, businesses, resort staff, and homeowners, and includes an earlier $25,000 donation and an additional $25,000 matching grant from the Taos Ski Valley Foundation, the New Mexico affiliate of Louis Bacon’s, Moore Charitable Foundation.
“The incredible generosity of this tiny community is staggering and we are deeply grateful for their donations,” said Lisa O’Brien, Director, Taos Community Foundation. “These funds will help us serve area residents who are struggling amid the pandemic."
Lauryn Mangat, Guest Services Manager at The Blake, and her mother have been busy making masks for Taos Whole Health, Holy Cross Hospital, and community and family members in need. We applaud Lauryn and Terrie for stepping up and filling a void in our community!
When volunteers were called upon to help with food distribution to local school children, members of both the Taos Ski Valley Ski Patrol and the Operations teams quickly shifted from the mountain to our town to offer any assistance they could.
Goggles for Docs
Taos Ski Valley is supporting Goggles for Docs and we ask that our skiers/riders support, too. Locally, you can donate goggles at Quail Ridge and Cottam's Ski Shops downtown location. If you can't drop off in Taos and want to learn more about the program, how to donate by mail, and donation guidelines you can do so via the link below.
