ADA Accessibility & Services

ADaptive Snowsports & Activities
We strive to ensure everyone is included in experiencing all Taos has to offer including skiing, riding, and ice skating.
Snowsports Lessons
Skiers and riders of all ages and varying abilities can benefit from instruction with one of our adaptive pros through a Private Adaptive Lesson. Our trained instructors assess, equip, and instruct students with disabilities in a one-on-one setting. This allows each student to be coached according to their specific needs, abilities, and learning styles while optimizing their skiing or riding experiences. Ice Skating
Ice skating is a fun and inclusive activity for all ages and abilities. To ensure everyone can enjoy the ice, we offer the Skate Helper, a supportive aid that provides stability for skaters of all skill levels. We also welcome wheelchairs and adaptive equipment specifically designed for skating, such as ice sleds, adaptive skates, and skate trainers with harnesses
Parking
ADA parking at Taos is located in the Coyote Parking Lot, near the pickup/dropoff zone. This is a short distance from Thunderbird Rd, which connects to the main pedestrian path. Additionally, there are a couple of ADA parking spaces on Firehouse Rd near the Children’s Snowsports School at the Rio Hondo Learning Center. At the Bavarian, ADA parking is located next to the deck and restroom building. Please don’t hesitate to speak with one of our Parking Attendants (in orange vests) if you need any assistance, they are always available to help!
ADaptive Equipment Drop-Off
Adaptive equipment can be dropped off at The Blake (107 Sutton Place, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525), where a team member will assist you with unloading your equipment and transporting it to the base of Lift 1 through The Blake. The Blake team will also direct you to a parking space at The Blake that meets your needs.
