Ski the change you want to see in the world
We’re living it
A few years ago, when we began the largest investment in our resort’s history, we chose to grow better rather than bigger. We committed ourselves to the highest standard of sustainability in everything we did. In the process, we learned that sustainability was more than just environmental, it’s equal parts social and economic. It’s a way of thinking, a way of doing, and a way of learning to do better for our people and our planet. Today, we’re the world’s first and only B Corp ski resort, and we invite you to ski the change with us.
This is Taos
You’ll find us where the Rockies begin. Where a legendary snow sports destination meets an organic sense of place, rooted in Native North American and Hispanic culture you won’t find anywhere else. At Taos Ski Valley, our character is the DNA of our operation. It inspires our commitment to the planet. And it leads to change you’ll feel the moment you arrive. See how Taos is making change for good.
Change for our Mountain
Substantial investments improve the experience on mountain, with a new high speed quad, enhanced snowmaking, and an $8 million investment in our Children’s Center. Off mountain, it’s a reinvigorated village atmosphere and amenities for all ages.
Change for our Planet
Because we believe no act is too small and no goal too big, our commitment to preserving the environment ranges from simple things like switching to low energy LED light bulbs to big ideas like partnering with The Nature Conservancy on a 600,000-acre sustainable forests program to reduce wildfire risk and protect the source waters of the Rio Grande river.
Change for our community
We take social responsibility to heart, which addresses attention to a diverse and inclusive staff, philanthropic efforts to contribute to our community, and an emphasis on enhancing the mental health and wellness of our workforce.
The World’s First And Only Certified B-Corp Ski Resort
B-Corp means we use our business as a force for good. A way to create change that benefits the people and the environment in our community, in New Mexico, and for the planet. It’s a call to action for a sustainable future and a validation of our journey towards an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, and transparent business model.
Reduction in our total food waste, and we’re limiting all food waste’s methane content by using a new Food Dehydrator.
