Commitment to Community
As the largest organization in Taos, Taos Ski Valley considers it a duty to be an active and responsible corporate citizen in Northern New Mexico. Taos values its people and its community, and actively works to create opportunities to build a community of trust, respect, and mutual prosperity.
Taos Ski Valley Foundation
The Taos Ski Valley Foundation is an affiliate foundation of The Moore Charitable Foundation, a private family foundation founded in 1992 by lifelong conservationist Louis Bacon. TSVF supports conservation nonprofits that focus on protecting threatened landscapes, habitats, wildlife, and waterways. The Taos Ski Valley Foundation also supports educational and community programs in the Taos area.
Paid Employee Volunteer Days
Taos Ski Valley encourages its staff to find their passion in the community. The resort provides its staff up to 24 hours of paid volunteer time annually so that our people can give back in a meaningful manner.
Taos Community Foundation
Taos Ski Valley is a proud partner of the Taos Community Foundation and gives grants annually to local non-profits through TCF’s grant program. In addition, Taos Ski Valley makes a $2 donation per room night at the Blake to TCF.
Employment & Services
When looking for new services provides, Taos Ski Valley looks for local providers first such as using Brownrice for our Cams & Conditions streams.
We also proudly seek out local community members to join our team.
We are committed to making sure our community has the ability to experience the freedom and fun the mountain offers and actively seek opportunities to make sure the youth in Taos as well as underserved communities have the opportunity to ski. We invest in our local community through the donation of ski passes, ski lessons, and lodging, as well as hosting numerous charitable events throughout the year.
A few of our current initiatives include working with the Taos Community Foundation on programs like Give a Kid a L.I.F.T and the Ridge-a-Thon, Not Forgotten Outreach Week, and Boarding 4 Breast Cancer Shred the Love.
